My experience today… I can’t believe I interacted and walked among meningitis patient today in General Hospital Wurno Sokoto Nigeria without knowing. I was unprotected!!!! On knowing,8 I immediately had to get Ciprotab. This high risk patients were left in the corridor and walkway for more than one day unattended to. This is unfortunate! in a state where drugs has been made available. It is surprising to hear the Health Facility claiming there is no drug!!!!
Thanks to my host and friends who raised money to move this patients to another very distance facilities after several calls. To bad there were two Ambulance in the facility and non could be asses. I call on FMOH to take this outbreak seriously and use the Ebola approach in defeating meningitis.
